Effetre, Transparent and Opal Glass Rods.

An Italian company formerly known as Moretti, manufactures this line of glass rods that is frequently used for lampworking and bead making. These glass rods are best known for their quality and working time with torch heads. Purchasing any other type of glass rods for bead making would require expensive torch setups with tanks and hoses.  Our extensive line of colored glass Effetre Italian rods lends itself to the creation of unique fused items.   These “Soft” glass rods are made of a glass that has a relatively lower melting point and longer working range which is ideal for working with the hot head torch and Map gas.   Map gas is available at most hardware stores.
